Church Music

A score and a sound file are provided for each piece. In some cases this is combined into one Scorch file. Read about Scorch here.

Because Scorch uses MIDI, many of the pieces have been converted to .PDF for the score and an mp3 sound file. The mp3s are either of a live performance or the Sibelius file recorded via Garritan sample libraries. In either case the sound, especially the percussion sounds, are much more realistic than MIDI.

This music on this page is appropriate for use in church. Some was written specifically for worship services, and some is more of a concert nature but still useful in churches.

Church Orchestra Series

The music in this series is written to provide a symphonic sound for churches with limited instrumentation. The music requires only brass (7 or 8), piano and synthesizer. The synthesizer part includes a string reduction and the piano part includes a woodwind reduction. The addition of strings, woodwinds and percussion makes the music even more effective.
