This is a rather spare, quiet arrangement of the well-known spiritual. It features horn, oboe & 'cello prominently as well as a horn/trombone chorale section.

The piece could be played with a 7-10 piece brass ensemble and two keyboards (piano & synthesizer) but woodwinds and strings and rhythm are a good addition.

There is are transitions to both "Christ the Lord is Risen Today" and "Love Divine, All Loves Excelling" that allow the music to lead into congregational singing. Or the piece can simply stand alone as an orchestral piece.
