This rather quiet, thoughtful arrangement is a combination of two favorite hymn tunes; When I Survey the Wondrous Cross and All Is Well With My Soul. It is an arrangement that can be played with as few as 8 brass instruments and two keyboards (one playing a string reduction) and still achieve a symphonic sound.

Optional string and woodwind parts (included) can be added and will make the performance more meaningful and provide a richer sound.

The arrangement is not a simple hymn transcription nor is it cluttered by artificially imposed rhythms, decoration for it's own sake, or key changes for lack of a better idea.

I hope that this arrangement will (with a quiet dignity) bring to worshipers minds the profound truth of the well known texts and lead them to a greater trust in sovereignty of our Lord.
